The Teacher: Oak
Oak holds a revered place as a shamanic master plant, symbolizing strength, wisdom, and spiritual endurance in many cultures. Its deep-rooted presence in the natural world is mirrored in its significance within shamanic practice.
The oak tree, with its sprawling branches and robust trunk, is seen as a bridge between the earthly and spiritual realms. The Dietero often seeks its guidance for grounding and connecting with ancestral energies. The oak's longevity and resilience inspire the dietero’s journey towards self-discovery and transformation.
The acorn, a symbol of potential and growth, is considered a sacred seed of wisdom. As we tap into this symbolism, we are guided through personal growth, healing, and the unraveling of hidden knowledge.
The oak's association with druidic traditions further enhances its role as a shamanic master plant. It's believed to offer insights into the cycles of nature, allowing seekers to align themselves with the rhythms of the universe.
When using oak in shamanic practice, it should be approached with deep respect and intention. Connecting with the oak spirit can lead to profound revelations, the strengthening of intuitive abilities, and a heightened awareness of one's connection to the web of life.
As a guardian of ancient wisdom and a conduit to the divine, oak remains an essential and powerful tool for shamans seeking to expand their consciousness and delve into the mysteries of existence.
The Teachings: Mondo Zen Koan Process, The word “Mondo” translates into English as “The Way of Dialogue.” The word “Zen” we translate as Clear Deep Heart-Mind – a knowing of our consciousness deeper than our thinking, feeling, and sensing mind. The word “koan” means an enigmatic question designed to bring your rational thinking mind to one point of focus – a question that points to a deeper truth about this consciousness. When we put the words “Mondo Zen Koan Practice” together, we are referring to a dialogue practice that uses enigmatic questions to awaken one to Clear Deep Heart-Mind, our deepest self, which includes unconditional compassion. Unlike traditional koan practice, Mondo Zen gives you all of the stages to enlightenment quickly, so that you can get a feel for these stages and get a sense of where this is going. To do this, we may ask you to accept something on a trial basis so that you can get a glimpse of the potential here. You can then go over this route many times to question each stage and deepen your understanding.
